Description

Switch Your Brain to Night Mode.

Phones, laptops, TVs and LED bulbs keep your eyes bathed in bright blue light long after sunset. Ventizen lenses filter that blue light, so your evening screen time feels less like daytime.

Three filter levels. The darker the lens, the more blue and green light it blocks:

  • Yellow: light filter. Blocks about 37% of sleep-disrupting blue light and 20% of green light, keeping colours closest to natural. Best for daytime screen use.
  • Orange: strong filter. Blocks about 90% of sleep-disrupting blue light and 65% of green light. Orange (amber) is the tint used in most evening sleep studies. Wear for the 2โ€“3 hours before bed.
  • Red: maximum filter. Blocks about 98% of sleep-disrupting blue light and 91% of green light, so colours look red and the view is darker. Best for the last hour before sleep.

Figures are the average blocking measured for yellow, orange and red tinted lenses in front of a tablet screen, in a 2022 lab study of 50 commercial blue-blocking glasses (Mason et al., Chronobiology International). "Sleep-disrupting blue light" is melanopic light, the blue light your body clock responds to. Individual lenses and light sources vary.

A lightweight black frame (about 24g) keeps them comfortable for hours of reading, scrolling, gaming or watching TV.

How to Use

1. Pick Your Lens
Yellow (light filter) for daytime screens, orange (strong filter) for the evening, red (maximum filter) for the last hour before sleep.

2. Put Them On 2โ€“3 Hours Before Bed
Wear them from the evening until lights out, especially while using your phone, laptop or TV.

3. Keep Them On Until Bedtime
Taking them off for a bright screen check defeats the purpose. Keep them on until you turn the lights off.

4. Make It a Nightly Habit
Wear them every evening for at least a week. In research, results were measured after 1โ€“3 weeks of nightly use.

Clinical research

Results backed by research

Evening light is one of the strongest signals to your body clock. And in a randomized trial of adults with insomnia, wearing amber blue-blocking lenses for 2 hours before bed for one week significantly improved sleep compared with clear lenses (Shechter et al., Journal of Psychiatric Research, 2018).

99%

LATER MELATONIN RELEASE

In a study of 116 adults, room light before bed delayed the release of sleep hormone melatonin in 99% of people vs. dim light (JCEM, 2011).

85%

MELATONIN CUT BY OVER HALF

Room light during usual sleep hours suppressed melatonin by more than 50% in 85% of tests (JCEM, 2011).

56%

BLUE-RICH LIGHT HITS HARDEST

Cool, blue-rich evening light suppressed melatonin by 56% vs. 24% for warm light, a significant difference (study in young children, J Biol Rhythms, 2025).

What better sleep looks like

Scroll at night, without the glare

Phones, laptops and LED lights give off blue light that tells your brain it's still daytime. Research has linked evening screen light to suppressed melatonin and a later body clock.

Ventizen lenses filter much of that blue light, so you can keep your evening routine without keeping your brain wired.

Three lenses, one routine

Each lens is a different filter level: the darker the tint, the more blue light it blocks. Yellow is a light filter for daytime screens, orange is a strong filter for the evening, and red is the maximum filter for the last hour before sleep.

In a 2022 lab study of 50 commercial lenses, tinted lenses in front of a tablet screen blocked about 37% (yellow), 90% (orange) and 98% (red) of the blue light that affects your body clock.

Fall asleep more easily

Better sleep starts before you get into bed. Wear them for 2โ€“3 hours before lights out and let your body wind down naturally.

In a randomized trial, adults with insomnia who wore amber lenses before bed for a week slept about 30 minutes longer and rated their sleep quality higher than with clear lenses.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Everything you need to know before your first night.

Which lens should I choose?

The darker the lens, the more light it blocks. Yellow (light filter, about 37% of sleep-disrupting blue and 20% of green light) suits daytime screens. Orange (strong filter, about 90% blue and 65% green) is ideal for evenings. Red (maximum filter, about 98% blue and 91% green) is for the last hour or two before bed. Figures are lab averages for each tint; see the Description tab.

When should I wear them?

Put them on 2โ€“3 hours before bed and keep them on until lights out, especially while using your phone, laptop or TV.

Do blue light glasses really help with sleep?

Research is promising but still growing. Small randomized trials have found longer, better-rated sleep with amber lenses worn before bed, while other studies found smaller effects. Results vary from person to person, which is why every order comes with a 30-night sleep trial.

Will colors look different while wearing them?

Yes. Tinted lenses change how colors look, and the effect is strongest with the red lens. That tint is what filters the blue light, so it's normal.

Can I wear them over my prescription glasses?

No, they are a standard frame and aren't designed to fit over other glasses. They work fine with contact lenses.

Are they comfortable for long sessions?

Yes. The frame weighs about 24g, light enough for hours of reading, gaming or watching TV.

Can I use them for gaming and computer work?

Absolutely. The yellow lens is ideal for daytime screen work and gaming, while orange and red are best saved for the evening.

Should I wear them while driving?

No. Tinted lenses reduce how much light reaches your eyes and change how colors look, so don't wear them for driving, especially at night.
